Mr. Ja’afaru Aliyu Paki has a D.Sc degree in Business Administration from Bradley University, U.S.A. He worked with Mobil Oil Nigeria Limited (1966 – 1978), the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC (1978 - 1988), was Executive Director (Marketing) at Unipetrol Nigeria Plc on secondment from NNPC (1988 – 1999) and Managing Director/CEO, Unipetrol Nigeria Plc (1999 – 2001). He has equally held directorship in several companies including Kaduna State Housing and Property Development Authority, Kaduna State Industrialisation Board, African Petroleum Plc, Stallion Property and Development Company Limited, Unipetrol Ghana Limited and Unipetrol Togo Limited. He was Special Assistant on Petroleum Matters to President Olusegun Obasanjo (November 2003 – May 2007)

He is currently Chairman of Nymex Investment Limited (since June 2007), Chairman, Kaduna State Inter-Ministerial Committee on Industrial Parks (since October 2007) and has been a member, National Stakeholders Working Group (NSWG) of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, NEITI (since December 2007)
