Yesterday, we had another #UBAFacebookLive session.
The live session is one of the many ways we connect with our online customers providing them with information about basic business skills needed to grow and manage a business.
UBA has supported many start-ups and SMEs and constantly seeks to inspire and encourage our customers in every way that we can.
These live conversations also aim to increase awareness and educate existing and potential customers on Facebook about our products and services. Our online audiences were not left out, the session was also streamed live on other platforms
The topic for this edition was; “How to Use Social Media to Grow Your Business’. The special guest was Nelly Agbogu aka NaijaBrandChick, a TEF Alumna and Founder/CEO of Nellies foods.
Nelly turned her passion into a hustle and there has been no looking back. What’s interesting is that she built and has been growing her business using social media.
More interestingly, yesterday was the world MSME day. A day set aside by the United Nations in 2017 to celebrate the importance of micro, small and medium enterprises in promoting innovation, creativity and decent work for all. A cause that UBA and The Tony Elumelu Foundation takes dearly to heart.
The first session, anchored by the beautiful and talented duo; Lilian Obata and Mary Okorie was educative, informative and eye-opening as Nelly bared it all.
The session ended with Nelly dropping a few pieces of advice for business owners. She said; ‘You have to be consistent, be organized and plan. You also have to build trust.’
For the next session, we had Segun Ogundipe, Head; Online Infrastructure give insights on other digital platforms available to small business owners while Offordiegwu Luke, Product Manager; UBA SME Businesses spoke about the product, the businesses and sectors it caters to and how these offerings can be accessed.
During the closing session, customers expressed their appreciation for the very interactive and educative session and were especially appreciative of the advice from a thriving entrepreneur.
