The UBA National essay competition, targeted at senior secondary school students in
Nigeria is organised annually, as part of UBA Foundation’s education initiative
which is aimed at promoting the reading culture and encouraging healthy and
intellectual competition amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and
across Africa.

Jolaosho Oluwatoroti Otokini of Louisville Girls High School, Ogun State, emerged winner
out of the 12 finalists of the 2019 edition National Essay Competition. While Precious Ifeoma Okey of Oladipo Alayande School of Science, Oyo State and Aimeé Okoko of Beautiful Beginning Academy, FCT Abuja came 2nd and 3rd respectively winning 1.5 Million Naira and 1 Million naira each.

this. We focus on education as one of our pillars in not just Nigeria but in
all of the countries that we operate in.’
