UBA Burkina and Youlcom Technologies are supporting the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Handicrafts (MCIA) in the implementation of the entry portal to Burkina. This arrangement was sealed by the three partners on Tuesday 17th December 2019 in Ouagadougou. The entry portal to Burkina is an initiative of the Burkinabè State which aims to digitise certain administrative and commercial acts. “UBA Burkina offers us today, one of the most successful platforms in e-banking and the ministry has decided to profit of this opportunity” declared Harouna Kaboré, Burkinabè Minister for Commerce, Handicrafts and industry.
Noellie Tiendrebeogo, Managing Director of UBA Burkina beeming with pride stated that “UBA today is essentially an electronic bank. Today, it is with great joy that we come alongside Youlcom and the ministry in charge of commerce to participate in the implementation of this portal. “
This innovative solution will help to strengthen the banking policy advocated by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
