Mental Health Art Project
UBA Foundation's Mental Health Art Project
Society has made speaking up about mental health or seeking help, a thing to be ashamed of. The stigmatisation that comes with mental health has made it difficult for people to be open about issues bordering on it. UBA Foundation is happy to be part of global changemakers that always seek to prioritise mental well-being and make stigmatisation a thing of the past.
We believe that utmost attention should be given to our mind just as we give to our body. This is why we have created an Inside Out Group Action called ‘Mental Health Art Project‘ to raise awareness about mental well-being. This Group Action aims to use the beauty and calming effect of photography to raise awareness. The images are of volunteers in our host communities that are helping raise awareness against stigmatisation of mental health and the importance of mental well-being.
The Inside Out Project is a platform that helps communities around the world to stand up for what they believe in and spark global change locally. Group Leaders create their Actions by displaying large-scale black and white portraits of community members in public spaces. Together, they create a work of public art!
