UBA Sierra Leone Presents $2,000 to Winner of Savings Promo
A female student of Fourah Bay College (FBC), University of Sierra Leone (USL), Zainab Estosha Serena Dumbuya, has emerged winner of the star prize of twenty million Leones (Le 20,000,000/$2000.
Serena Dumbuya, came tops during the Final Raffle Draw of the Savings Promo which was held on Friday 24th January 2020, was streamed live on social media, television, radio and was well-attended by photographers and journalists.
Other winners included Avo Kendeh, who came third place, winning 5 million Leones ad businessman Emmanuel Joebi who came in 2nd place, winning 10 million Leones. The winners were rewarded by the MD/CEO himself at the Head Office, with instant funds credited to their accounts.
The promo which began in April 2019, lasted for a period of eight months and was well-advertised in popular media channels.
In his keynote remarks, MD/CEO, Chinedu Obeta, spoke on the importance of savings culture saying, “We at UBA continue to exceed the expectations of our customers; we will continue to provide superior and excellent customer service delivery to all our stakeholders, with top-notch technology and digital channels.” He added that UBA has put measures in place to continue to add value to the socio-economic landscape of Sierra Leone, whilst remaining a role model and a socially responsible financial institution across Africa and the world at large.
