UBA Zambia sponsored the 2019 Zambia Fashion Week which took place at Mulungushi international conference Centre. This year’s edition themed ‘Beauty in Diversity’ held between the 17th and 19th October and attracted a host of local and international designers who gathered to show-case their immaculate designs.
As a build-up to the event, UBA Zambia gave away golden circle tickets to its loyal customers as well as competition winners from the social media challenge that was put up.
Award-winning Ghanaian fashion designer Elikem Kumordzie, known by his brand name The Tailor, graced this year’s Zambia Fashion Week with a string of amazing designs that infused traditional African colors with the modern style.
Speaking to the designers, UBA Zambia’s Head of Marketing and Cooperate Communications, Wezi Njovu, emphasised the bank’s commitment to supporting young and upcoming talent as this encourages entrepreneurship.
“We are excited to be part of the biggest Fashion exhibition in the country, as this gives us an opportunity to promote and empower upcoming designers, I therefore, encourage you to work extra hard as the future of the fashion industry belongs to you,” she said.
The Zambian Fashion week held annually, seeks to promote established and young aspiring Zambian designers who are looking to show case their talent and products to the masses.
